Dignity plc ("Dignity" or "the Company")

Non-Executive Director Change.

Further to its announcement on 4 November 2016 regarding Martin Pexton the Board of Dignity plc is pleased to announce that Mary McNamara has been appointed as an independent Non-Executive Director of Dignity with effect from 1 March 2017. Mary is the Senior Non-Executive Director of Motorpoint plc and a Non-Executive Director of One Savings Bank plc. Previously she held senior executive positions with General Electric, Close Brothers plc and Old Mutual Group.

Mary will be considered to be an Independent Non-executive Director and she has been appointed to the Audit, Nomination and Remuneration Sub-Committees of the Board. This appointment means that there will remain an equal number of independent Non-executive Directors to Executive Directors serving on the Board in addition to the Non-executive Chairman

Under s822 of the Companies Act 2006 Mary does not have a notifiable shareholding in the Company. As required by Listing Rule 9.6.13, a schedule listing all current and past directorships in other publicly quoted companies held by her in the previous five years is shown below.
