Severn Trent Plc (the "Company") - Voting Rights and Capital

In accordance with Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rule 5.6.1, the Company would like to notify the market of the following:

As at 1 December 2016, the Company's issued share capital consists of 239,786,819 ordinary shares of 97 17/19 pence each with voting rights.

As at 1 December 2016, the Company holds 4,080,964 shares in Treasury.

Therefore, the total number of voting rights in Severn Trent Plc is 235,705,855 which may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Severn Trent Plc under the FCA's Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules.
