Final dividend for the year ended 17 September 2016 

Further to the announcement released earlier today by Associated British Foods plc (the 'Company') of its final results for the year ended 17 September 2016, the Company confirms that, subject to the approval of shareholders at the Company's AGM to be held on 9 December 2016, a final dividend of 26.45 pence per share will be paid on 13 January 2017 to shareholders on the Company's register of members at the close of business on 16 December 2016.

The Company operates a dividend reinvestment plan ('DRIP').  The final date for receipt or withdrawal of elections under the DRIP will be 20 December 2016.
