Publication of a Circular

Schroder Asian Total Return Investment Company plc (the "Company") has today published a circular (the "Circular") convening a general meeting (the "General Meeting") to seek shareholder approval for recommended proposals in relation to the reissue from treasury of the Company's ordinary shares of 5 pence each at a discount to net asset value per ordinary share and proposed amendments to the Company's articles of association.  The General Meeting will be held at 31 Gresham Street, London EC2V 7QA at 2.30 p.m. on Tuesday, 15 November 2016.
