Directorate Changes

Headlam (LSE: HEAD), Europe's leading floorcoverings distributor, announces that, after more than 25 years with the business, Tony Brewer is stepping down as Group Chief Executive.  Tony, who was Group Chief Executive for 16 years, has been instrumental in building the group, and the board would like to place on record its thanks and appreciation for all that he has achieved. 

The board is delighted to announce the appointment of Steve Wilson, who has been Group Finance Director since 1991, to succeed Tony as Chief Executive Officer with immediate effect.  Steve brings to the role not only an in depth knowledge of the group's operations and financials but also a strong skillset for the future development of the business.

The board has begun a recruitment process to appoint a new Chief Financial Officer. Until this appointment is made, Steve will maintain oversight of the finance function.

The board is also pleased to announce that Tony Judge, who has worked at the group for more than 24 years, has been appointed to the operational role of Chief Operating Officer.  Tony has held a number of senior operational roles at the group, most recently as Commercial Director of the Coleshill and Tamworth businesses.  Tony has 35 years' experience in the floorcovering industry and brings an abundance of knowledge and expertise to the role.

Headlam stated in its interim results, announced on 24 August 2016, that: "Our market appears to be robust and, subject to the key trading period in the run-up to Christmas, the board remains confident of achieving full year expectations."  This position remains unchanged.
