Employee Benefit Trust purchase of shares

Bloomsbury Publishing Plc (the "Company") received notification on 26 May 2016 from Elian Employee Benefit Trustee Limited in their capacity as trustee of the Bloomsbury Employee Benefit Trust (the "Trust") that on 26 May 2016 the Trust acquired 95,000 ordinary shares of 1.25p each in the Company at an average price of 163 pence per share.  Following the purchase the Trust holds 500,269 ordinary shares representing 0.67% of the Company's issued share capital.

The Trust satisfies the exercise of share based awards and options granted under the share incentive schemes and Sharesave scheme of the Company. The potential beneficiaries of the Trust include the Executive Directors.
