PetroNeft received notification on 1 March 2016 from General Invest Overseas S.A. that it holds an aggregate interest in 75,678,700 ordinary shares of €0.01 each which represents 10.7%* of the issued share capital of PetroNeft as at 23 February 2016. General Invest Overseas S.A. have stated that the nature of their interest is for capital gain and that the investment is part of their long-term portfolio.

*This percentage shareholding is based on a shares in issue figure of 707,245,906 ordinary shares.
