Appointment of a Non-executive Director to the Board

QinetiQ Group plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Lynn Brubaker to the Board as a Non-executive Director with immediate effect.  On appointment, she will become a member of the Audit, Remuneration, Nominations, and Risk & CSR Committees. 

A US citizen, Lynn has spent her executive career in the aerospace industry, culminating in her appointment as Vice President and General Manager of Commercial Aerospace at Honeywell International.  In addition, she has established a proven track record as a Non-executive Director, currently holding appointments at two US-listed companies, FARO Technologies, Inc. and Hexcel Corporation, and also at The Nordam Group. 

Commenting on today's announcement Mark Elliott, Chairman of QinetiQ, said:

"I am delighted to welcome Lynn to the Board, bringing her strong aerospace and extensive international experience to the Company.  This experience is of particular relevance to QinetiQ as it seeks to develop its international and commercial market opportunities."

There are no other matters requiring disclosure under LR 9.6.13.
