Board changes

Xaar plc, "Xaar", "the Company", the world leader in industrial inkjet technology, announces two Board changes. 

Firstly, Xaar is pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Morgan as Non-Executive Director, who will join the Board of Directors at Xaar from 4 January 2016. Chris will also serve as a member of the Audit, Nomination and Remuneration Committees.

Chris brings with him a wealth of expertise in managing complex international technology businesses, having spent 25 years at HP, Inc. Chris's HP career encompassed more than 15 years of diverse senior executive roles including WW Sales and Marketing leadership for HP's entire printing business and Senior Vice President of Graphic Solutions where he had end-to-end global general management responsibility for HP's multibillion dollar portfolio of digital printing and packaging press, signage and display, large format design, 3D, and specialty printing solutions and services.

Chris has a strong background in global marketing and general management roles, with 11 years living and working in Asia for HP. He has led strategic investments in key growth markets such as China and India and has established channel networks, and customer service and supply chain capabilities in growth markets. Chris has also been involved in a number of mergers and acquisitions at both the strategic and operational levels and was a Board member for an HP-Softbank PC-related joint venture in Japan, and recently served as Chief Marketing Officer for Stratasys, Ltd, until June of 2015, where he was responsible for marketing 3D printing and additive manufacturing solutions globally.

Phil Lawler, Xaar's Chairman, welcomes Chris saying, "We are delighted that Chris is joining Xaar's Board. He brings a wealth of experience with him in both global businesses and leadership roles. We look forward to his help in guiding the Company at this important period in Xaar's 25 year history."  Doug Edwards, Xaar's CEO, added, "I am pleased to welcome Chris to Xaar. His extensive international experience and market knowledge will aid Xaar's growth in new and emerging applications for digital inkjet printing."

The appointment of Chris to Xaar's Board will prove a very positive start to 2016 for the Company. Chris Morgan said, "Xaar is well positioned to take advantage of a number of growth opportunities in the digital print market over the next few years and I am very excited to be joining Xaar at this important time."

No further information is required to be disclosed in relation to Chris Morgan pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.13 R.

Xaar also announces the resignation of Richard Barham, Chief Customer Officer, from the Board with immediate effect.  The Board does not anticipate replacing the role of Chief Customer Officer with another Board Appointment. We will be realigning the business to support our long term commercial vision and support our partnership strategy.

Doug Edwards, Chief Executive Officer, commented: "The Board has accepted Richards' resignation as a Board Director. The business would like to thank him for his service to the Company.  We wish him every success for the future".
