ARBUTHNOT BANKING GROUP ANNOUNCES THE RETIREMENT OF ROBERT WICKHAM

Arbuthnot Banking Group PLC ("Arbuthnot" or the "Group") today announced the retirement from the Arbuthnot Banking Group Board of Robert (Bob) Wickham, Deputy Chairman and Senior Independent Non-Executive Director.

Bob joined the Group Board in 1993 having previously held senior positions at the Bank of Scotland before retiring as General Manager, UK Banking - England.

Commenting on Bob's retirement from the Arbuthnot Banking Group Board, Chairman and Chief Executive, Sir Henry Angest said:

"It has been a pleasure to have worked with Bob over the past twenty two years during which his great wealth of banking experience has been invaluable both to me personally and to the Board of Arbuthnot Banking Group and formerly to the Secure Trust Bank and Arbuthnot Latham Boards.

"Bob has proved an extremely effective Deputy Chairman and Senior Independent Non-Executive Director and helped us weather the financial crisis which hit many in the financial sector who did not have our prudent and conservative philosophy.  

"I wish Bob well in his future retirement."

Bob Wickham will leave the Arbuthnot Banking Group Board with effect from 31st December 2015.
