TRANSACTION IN OWN SECURITIES

Severn Trent Plc ("Severn Trent") announces today that it has purchased the following number of its ordinary shares of 97 17/19 pence each ("Ordinary Shares") on the London Stock Exchange from Morgan Stanley & Co. International PLC. Such purchase was effected pursuant to irrevocable instructions issued by Severn Trent to Morgan Stanley & Co. International PLC on 13 February 2015, as announced on the same day:

Price per Ordinary Share:                             £21.2851

The purchased shares will be held as treasury shares.

Following the above transaction, Severn Trent holds a total of 3,202,993 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 236,132,659 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).

Further to the announcement made on 13 February 2015, the irrevocable purchase programme entered into with Morgan Stanley & Co. International PLC (the "Programme") has been completed today in accordance with its terms. As at today's date, a total amount of £90m worth of shares has been spent under the Programme. Following the Company's interim results on 26 November the company intends to commence a programme to repurchase additional shares up to a value of £20m bringing the total repurchase to £110m.
