Total Voting Rights and Share Capital

In accordance with DTR 5.6.1A of the Disclosure and Transparency Rules, the Company hereby notifies the market of the following:

As at 17 April 2015, the Company's issued share capital consisted of 1,098,531,094 ordinary shares of 2 pence each with voting rights. This is an increase of 549,265,547 ordinary shares since the previous total voting rights announcement made by the Company on 1 December 2014, with the increase resulting from the issue of new shares pursuant to the Company's rights issue. Therefore, the total number of voting rights in the Company as at 17 April 2015 was 1,098,531,094.

The above figure of 1,098,531,094 may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the Disclosure and Transparency Rules.  The Company does not hold any ordinary shares in treasury and has no other category of share in issue.

For the purposes of calculating basic earnings per share for 2015, in accordance with IAS 33 the weighted average number of shares will be approximately 990 million with the impact of the increase in shares in issue annualising in the Company's 2016 financial year.
