Pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.14(2), Tullow Oil plc announces that Chairman of the board, Simon Thompson, has been appointed as non-executive Director of 3i with effect from 13 April 2015 and is expected to be appointed Chairman following their AGM on 25 June.

Simon Thompson will cease to be Senior Independent Director of Amec Foster Wheeler plc and a non-executive Director of Sandvik AB following their AGMs on 14 and 7 May 2015, respectively.
