Continued take up of conveyor x-ray systems

Image Scan, (AIM: IGE), the AIM-listed specialist supplier of x-ray screening systems to the security and industrial inspection markets, is pleased to announce that it has received orders for a further nine conveyor x-ray systems to existing customers.  The systems are expected to be delivered in the first half of the company's financial year.

The customers are based in Myanmar and Botswana and are both continuing the roll out of 3DX technology in their facilities after the success of earlier installations announced in October 2014.

The orders represent a repeat supply from the Axis product range, and the systems will be used to provide high quality images for specialised asset protection and front of house security at government buildings.

Commenting on this news, Bill Mawer, Chairman and CEO of Image Scan, said: "These orders provide further evidence of Image Scan's ability to get this type of x-ray system to markets around the world. This will be important once the planned development of a new range of conveyor x-ray systems is complete.

The contracts are especially pleasing due to the multiple units required and as a demonstration of the merit of our UK manufactured x-ray technology in the African and SE Asian markets where these units will be installed."
