Board Change

Wilmington Group plc announces today that Neil Smith, Chief Operating Officer has decided to leave the Group, effective from 1 January 2015, to pursue other opportunities.

Mark Asplin, Chairman of Wilmington Group plc commented:

"On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Neil for his valued contribution to Wilmington over the last 17 years. Having played a leading role in transforming the Group from a traditional UK print publisher to a provider of digital information and education, Neil has decided that now is the right time for him to pursue a new challenge.

Neil joined Wilmington in 1997 when the Group backed him in his MBO of the business information division of Macmillan Publishers. He subsequently led the development of the Group's digital businesses before taking on wider responsibilities.  He has been a member of the Executive Board since 2004 and was appointed as Chief Operating Officer in December 2011. We wish Neil all the best in his future endeavours."
