                                                           21 November 2014                        Karelian Diamond Resources Plc                         ("Karelian" or the "Company")                              Directorate ChangeKarelian (AIM: KDR, ESM: KDRI), the diamond exploration company focused onFinland, is pleased to announce that it has appointed Dr Sorċa Conroy to theBoard of the Company, as a Non-executive Director, with immediate effect.Dr Conroy is a daughter of the Chairman of Karelian, Professor Richard Conroy.She has a City background and currently sits on the Board of Conroy Gold andNatural Resources plc, a mining company focused on Ireland.Dr. Sorċa Conroy, a medical graduate of The Royal College of Surgeons inIreland, held a number of clinical positions in between her graduation in 1995and joining Hoodless Brennan, a City stockbroker in 2004. She was recruited toING Bank in 2006 and whilst there was ranked second in the Extel Survey forBiotechnology Specialist Sales. She had previously been specialist sales forlife sciences and institutional equities at Canaccord Adams (2005-2006), whereshe ranked fourth in the 2006 Extel survey.Dr Conroy has been a Non-Executive Director of Conroy Gold and NaturalResources since 2010.Professor Conroy, Chairman of Karelian said:"I am delighted that Dr Sorċa Conroy has been appointed to the Board ofKarelian.
