APPOINTMENT OF CHIEF EXECUTIVE

Billington Holdings Plc, the award winning structural steel and construction safety products company, announces that Mark Smith, its current Chief Operating Officer, will become the Company's Chief Executive Officer with effect from 1 January 2015, being the date of retirement of current CEO, Steve Fareham.

In a change to the announcement of 3 July 2014, it is agreed Mr Fareham's retirement will now be effective from the 1st January 2015. After this date he will remain with the Company as a non-executive director.

Mark Smith joined Billington on 29 May 2014 as a member of the Board and Group Chief Operating Officer.  He was previously London Operations Director of one of the country's largest structural steelwork specialists. Before that, for a period of 26 years he was employed by D. A. Green Steel and Cladding ("DAG") and was a Board Director.

Commenting on this change, Steve Fareham said 'I have known and respected Mark for over 20 years and he has very quickly settled into his role with Billington. With his new team firmly in place and a growing confidence in the business, I have decided to bring my retirement date forward from the previously announced date of June 2015 to the 1st January 2015. After over 46 years with Billington I am absolutely delighted to be offered the role of non-executive director and look forward to continuing to support Mark and my co-directors in the future.'
