Transaction in own shares

The Company announces that on 10 September 2014 it purchased (through Numis Securities Limited) 130,000 of its Ordinary shares of 1.5625 pence at a price of 584 pence per share.  The highest and lowest paid was 584 pence per share.  The number of Ordinary shares purchased represented 0.1% of the voting rights attributable to the total Ordinary shares in issue prior to such purchase.

The purchased shares will be held in treasury.  As at the date of this announcement, the Company holds 130,000 Ordinary shares in treasury and has 165,743,466 Ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
