Appointment of Non-Executive Director

Direct Line Insurance Group plc announces that it has today appointed Sebastian James to the Board as a Non-Executive Director.

Sebastian is Group Chief Executive of Dixons Carphone plc and has held a number of senior strategic and operational positions in the retail, consulting and insurance sectors. He has a proven track record for implementing transformation programmes.

Sebastian was Group Chief Executive of Dixons Retail plc prior to its merger with Carphone Warehouse Group plc on 6 August 2014. Before joining Dixons Retail plc in 2008, he was Chief Executive Officer of Synergy Insurance Services Limited and prior to this was Strategy Director at Mothercare plc.
