SHARE PURCHASES

Inchcape plc (the "Company"), the leading premium automotive group, announces today that, further to its announcement on 31 July 2014 of a share buyback of up to £100 million over the following 12 months, it has today commenced this programme.  On 1 August 2014 the Company gave irrevocable instructions to J.P. Morgan Cazenove to purchase shares with a value of up to £50m on the Company's behalf during the period from 4 August 2014 until 31 December 2014 (the "Period"). The purchase of shares in the Period pursuant to the irrevocable instructions will be executed at all times only in accordance with the Company's authority to make market purchases of its shares.
