Central Asia Metals plc (AIM: CAML), has been notified by Mirabaud Securities LLP ('the Warrant Holder') of the exercise of a Warrant, which was issued for placing fees in respect of the September 2010 initial public offering and entitles the Warrant Holder to subscribe for 932,053 Ordinary Shares of US$0.01 each ('Warrant Shares') being the remaining balance out of the initial 1,192,053 warrant shares granted, at a price of 96p per warrant share raising £894,770.88.

The Company has received payment of £894,770.88 and has applied for admission of the Warrant Shares to trading on AIM ("Admission"). The total number of Ordinary Shares in issue, following the issue of the Warrant Shares, and the total number of voting rights, will be 111,333,663 (excluding treasury shares).

The above figure of 111,333,663 Ordinary Shares may be used by shareholders in the Company as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, CAML under the FCA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
