The following notification is made by Associated British Foods plc (the 'Company') in accordance with paragraph 3.1.2R of the Disclosure and Transparency Rules. 

George Weston, Chief Executive of the Company, is a trustee of 'The Garfield Weston Trust for Westminster Abbey', a registered UK charity whose objectives are the restoration, preservation, maintenance and improvement of Westminster Abbey and its precincts (the 'Charity'). 

The Charity has taken the decision to sell part of its holding of ordinary shares in the Company for the purpose of funding some refurbishment work to Westminster Abbey and has sold a total of 242,745 ordinary shares in the Company as follows:

The transactions took place in London.

This notification was made to the Company on 18 July 2014 on behalf of George Weston in his capacity as a trustee of the Charity.  George Weston's own beneficial holding of shares in the Company remains unchanged as a result of this transaction.
