BOARD APPOINTMENT

The Board of Pennon Group is very pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Neil Cooper as a Non-executive Director with effect from 1 September 2014.  He will be chairman of the Board's audit committee and a member of its remuneration, sustainability and nomination  committees.

Neil is Group Finance Director of William Hill PLC and previously was Group Finance Director of Bovis Homes Group PLC. Before that he held senior finance roles with Whitbread plc, worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers as a management consultant and held a number of roles with Reckitt & Colman plc.

In respect of UKLA Listing Rule 9.6.13 relating to further information concerning the appointment of a new director it should be noted that Neil Cooper is an executive director of William Hill PLC (from 10 May 2010 to current) and was previously Group Finance Director of Bovis Homes Group PLC (from 2 January 2008 to 6 May 2010).  There is no other information required to be disclosed in compliance with this Listing Rule.
