Result of EGM

Further to the announcement made on 24 April 2014, the Board of Chemring is pleased to announce that the resolution to approve the disposal of the European Munitions Business as detailed in the circular to shareholders dated 24 April 2014 (the "Circular") was duly passed at the general meeting held at 9.00 a.m. today.

A copy of the resolution passed at the meeting will be submitted to the National Storage Mechanism and will shortly be available for inspection at http://www.morningstar.co.uk/uk/NSM 

Following the EGM, an outstanding condition needed for completion of the disposal of Simmel remains the receipt of appropriate regulatory approval from the Italian government.
