ARBUTHNOT BANKING GROUP PLC

Annual General Meeting Statement - 2014

The Board of Arbuthnot Banking Group PLC ("ABG" or "the Group") announces that shareholders approved all the resolutions proposed at the Annual General Meeting held today Thursday 8 May 2014.

At the meeting the Chairman, Henry Angest, made the following statement:

"The Group has started the year well. Both banks have traded robustly and have delivered strong growth in lending volumes. Overall, customer loan balances finished the first quarter in excess of 20% higher than the previous year.

"In accordance with our cautious management of the balance sheet, both banks remain well funded and capitalised.

"The Group is confident of developing its business and is well positioned to make further positive progress during the year."
