Receipt of regulatory approvals to acquire the Avincis Group

Further to the announcement on 27 March 2014, Babcock is pleased to announce that it has received approvals from the Spanish Council of the National Markets and Competition Commission and the Portuguese Competition Authority in respect of the acquisition of the Avincis Group.  All conditions to completion of the acquisition have therefore been satisfied. Completion is expected to take place in May 2014.
