Primary Health Properties PLC ("PHP"), the UK's leading investor in modern primary healthcare facilities, announces that a wholly owned subsidiary has contracted with the Watkin Jones Group to forward fund the development of a modern, purpose built health centre in Chester city centre for a total consideration of £18.50 million. Jones Lang LaSalle acted for the vendor.

The scheme will provide integrated healthcare facilities and accommodate 4 GP practices.  It will be fully let on a single lease to the GP's for 25 years, benefitting from three yearly fixed rental uplifts.  The centre is under construction and is expected to reach completion by the end of 2014.
