Non-Executive Directors, Richard Akers and Nina Bibby, acquire shares

In accordance with the requirements of D.T.R.3.1.2 Barratt Developments PLC (the "Company") was notified on 19 December 2013 that, Richard Akers and Nina Bibby, Non-Executive Directors, have acquired Ordinary Shares in the Company. Richard Akers acquired 30,000 Ordinary Shares (0.003% of the Company's issued share capital) at a price of £3.38 per share and Nina Bibby acquired 5,000 Ordinary Shares (0.001% of the Company's issued share capital) in the Company at a price of £3.397 per share. All of the shares were purchased in London, on 19 December 2013.

Following the above purchases, the total number of shares of 10 pence each held by Richard Akers and Nina Bibby and each of the Directors/PDMRs, and their connected persons, of the Company are as follows:
