EBT Share Purchase

Persimmon plc (the "Company") announces that Persimmon (Share Scheme Trustees) Limited made the following purchases:

·    130,000 ordinary shares in the Company at an average price of 1142p on 12 December 2013; and

·    70,000 ordinary shares in the Company at an average price of 1141.24p on 13 December 2013.

The shares were purchased by the employee benefit trust for the Company's Bonus Share Scheme.  Each of the executive directors of the Company is a potential participant under the Bonus Share Scheme and is therefore regarded as having a notional interest in these shares.

Following this purchase, Persimmon (Share Scheme Trustees) Limited holds 200,055 shares in the Company representing 0.06% of the issued share capital.  

The issued share capital of the Company on 16 December 2013 was 304,649,809 ordinary shares.
