TRANSACTION IN OWN SHARES

Close Brothers Group plc (the 'Company') announces that on 22 November 2013 it transferred 14,028 ordinary shares of 25 pence each from treasury to participants in its employee share plans.  The transfer price was nil pence.  Following the transfer of these shares, the Company holds 2,308,426 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 148,299,986 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
