AGM Statement

At the AGM of Leeds Group plc (the "Company") to be held at 12 noon today, Chairman Kathryn Davenport will make the following statement:

"In the annual report for the year ended 31 May 2013, I described the successful financial performances of our textile trading businesses in Germany and China. I also stated that we had identified potential growth opportunities in certain territories.  I am pleased to be able to report that the performance of both Hemmers and ChinohTex in the first five months of this year has been most encouraging, with both companies achieving levels of sales growth a little ahead of our expectations. 

It remains the intention of the Board to actively seek further opportunities to maximise the long term value of the Group by identifying appropriate investments that strengthen the Group.  The Board will be considering making acquisitions or investments which may not necessarily be within the textile wholesale sector
