Concurrent Technologies Plc

Product Launch

VPX product range extension

Concurrent Technologies Plc (the "Company"), a world leading specialist in the design and manufacture of high-end embedded computer products for critical applications in the defence, aerospace, telecommunications, transportation, scientific and industrial markets, is pleased to announce further product additions to its range of VPX products for both commercial and harsh environments.

The TR B11/msd is a 3U VPX board featuring either the Intel® Core™ i5-4402E or the Intel® Core™ i5-4400E dual core processors. With up to 16 Gbytes of DRAM and a rich assortment of I/O interfaces, this board is an ideal processor board for 3U VPX solutions requiring the latest in processing performance, but requiring less power than the quad-core variant, thereby extending the range of potential applications for this product line. 3U VPX is particularly well suited to high-end compute intensive applications in military embedded, aerospace and transportation systems for data acquisition, control systems and video signal processing. Ruggedised variants of dual and quad-core variants will be released in early 2014 to meet the demands of applications within harsher environments.

Also released and in production to existing customers are the ruggedised versions of the TR 90x/x1x single board computer. Announced last year as commercial products, the TR 90x/x1x features dual-core or quad-core 3rd generation Intel® Core™ i7 processors and Mobile Intel® QM77 Express chipset with up to 16 Gbytes of ECC DRAM.

Glen Fawcett, Managing Director, Concurrent Technologies Plc, commented:

"The release of these new product variants provides our customers with a wider choice of performance to power ratio options, depending upon their application. Their investment in their application software can be reutilised across different applications and environments by choosing the most appropriate variant of our products. The TR B11/msd and the TR 90x/x1x are part of a continuing product line aimed at a wide range of applications while providing enhanced ongoing product life cycle which is essential for customers in our defence markets in particular."
