Re Statement by Tata Chemicals Europe

The Board of Hargreaves notes yesterday's announcement by Tata Chemicals Europe ("TCE") in which TCE states that it is proposing to restructure its soda ash production plants in the UK. Hargreaves supplies coke to TCE from its Monckton production plant in South Yorkshire.

Monckton's commercial position is secured through, among other things, a contract for the supply to TCE of approximately 75,000 tonnes of coke per annum through to December 2015.
