DS SMITH PLC EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR APPOINTMENT

Further to the announcement made on 20 June 2013, DS Smith Plc confirms that Adrian Marsh has today joined the Board as Group Finance Director.

As required by the Listing Rules, it is confirmed that there are no changes to the details disclosed on 20 June 2013 pursuant to LR 9.6.13 R (1) to (6) and Adrian Marsh does not hold any shares in the Company.
