Appointment of Head of Corporate Development

17 September 2013 - Spectris plc, (SXS:LSE) the productivity-enhancing instrumentation and controls company, today announces the appointment of Robin Stopford as Head of Corporate Development.

Robin, who will join on 5 November 2013, has over 15 years' experience in leading strategic growth and M&A initiatives within diverse industrial groups such as Doncasters ltd and Low & Bonar plc. Robin also spent several years at Bain & Company, the leading strategy consultants. Robin began his career at Rolls Royce plc where he served in a variety of engineering and management roles. He has a degree in Engineering from the University of Durham and an MBA from Wharton business school.
