Transaction in own Shares

Liontrust Asset Management PLC ("Liontrust" or the "Company") announces that on 5 September 2013 it purchased for cancellation 455,000 Ordinary shares (the "Shares") at a price of 218.0 pence per share.

Following the cancellation of the Shares, the Company's capital consists of 39,441,555 ordinary shares of 1p each with voting rights. No ordinary shares are held in Treasury.

Therefore, the total number of voting rights in the Company is 39,441,555.

The above figure of 39,441,555 may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the FCA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
