FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

VOTING RIGHTS AND CAPITAL - CORRECTION

In conformity with Disclosure and Transparency Rule 5.6.1(1), Pennon Group Plc hereby notifies the market that at 31 July 2013, the issued share capital of the Company was 367,119,995 ordinary shares of nominal value 40.7p each with voting rights, although 2,084,246 of these shares had no exercisable voting rights as they were held in treasury. Therefore, whilst currently the total number of voting rights in Pennon Group Plc is 367,119,995 the figure 365,035,749 (the Company's issued share capital less the shares held in treasury) is the figure that may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Pennon Group Plc under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.

In conformity with Disclosure and Transparency Rule 5.6.1(2), Pennon Group Plc hereby notifies the market that at 31 July 2013, as detailed in the paragraph above, the total number of voting rights attaching to shares of the Company which are held by it in treasury is 2,084,246.

Note - In the RNS Announcement (Voting Rights and Capital) issued on 1 August 2013 the issued share capital figure was incorrectly stated as 365,119,995 whereas the correct figure is 367,119,995.
