Appointment of Non-Executive Director

Cake Box Holdings plc, UK's largest retailer of fresh cream celebration cakes, is pleased to announce that Andrew Boteler will join its board of directors as a Non-Executive Director and as Chair of the Audit Committee with effect from 19 February 2025.

Andrew brings more than 30 years' experience in both executive and non-executive roles in the financial sector. Currently, Andrew is Non-Executive Director and Audit Committee Chair of AIM listed Octopus AIM VCT plc and Senior Independent Director, Chair of the Audit and Remuneration Committees for LungLifeAI Inc. Since 2021, Andrew has been on the Advisory Panel for CEN Group Holdings, a private company helping businesses on their Environmental, Social and Governance journey.

With a strong track record in the development, communication and execution of various business strategies, Andrew has a proven ability in delivering shareholder value. As Chief Financial Officer of Gooch & Housego PLC from 2009 to 2019, Andrew oversaw the rapid and profitable growth of the company over the ten-year period. From 2019 to 2023, Andrew acted as Finance Director on the Board of Riverford Organic Farmers, the largest organic fresh food company in the UK, in which he was responsible for the financial and legal affairs of the company.
