Publication of Annual Report and Directorate Update

Sound Energy, the Moroccan focused upstream gas company, announces that its Annual Report and Accounts for the year ended 31 December 2019 has today been published.

A copy of the annual report can be found on the Company's website at www.soundenergyplc.com.

In light of the UK Government's current restrictions and guidelines in respect of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Company is finalising appropriate arrangements for its 2020 Annual General Meeting, details of which will be announced in due course. 

Further to the announcement on 23 January 2020, the Company advises that Mohammed Seghiri has assumed the role of Chief Operating Officer of the Company with immediate effect. Mr Seghiri, previously acting Chief Executive Officer, remains a director of the Company and will continue to work to drive the business forward operationally with particular emphasis on delivering the phased Micro LNG and pipeline gas development plan at the Company's Tendrara production concession. The Company continues its process to identify and appoint an additional independent non-executive director and further announcements will be made in this regard, as appropriate, in due course.
