Operational Update

Rockfire Resources plc (AIM: ROCK), the gold and base-metal explorer, provides an operational update resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic.

During these unprecedented times, where the COVID-19 pandemic is having an impact on so many aspects of daily life, the Board of Rockfire has instigated various measures as a response to the current economic, environmental and financial climate.

As per current Australian Government restrictions, the Company's field team will be able to access site at the conclusion of the wet season, as all staff are based within Queensland and are therefore not impacted by the Queensland State borders being closed. The Company will regularly review its position in line with Government advice. In Queensland, Rockfire continues to advance its exploration activities, including technical analysis, desk-top mapping and planning for the next drill program. The safety and wellbeing of every member of our staff, our contractors and the local landowners remains our ultimate priority. 

It is currently anticipated that the Company will undertake a review of operational conditions at the conclusion of the wet season, which is expected to be late April 2020.

The Company continues to consider all options available to it, including potential access to Australian and UK Government assistance. In addition, the Company will adopt cost reduction measures as appropriate, including renegotiating arrangements with its service providers.

The Board is in the process of completing the audit of its financial results for the year ended 31 December 2019, which will be announced in due course. Owing to Government instructions regarding social distancing, Rockfire anticipates that it will hold its Annual General Meeting ("AGM") remotely. Further details regarding the AGM will be announced in due course.
