("Sound Energy" or the "Company")

Director/PDMR Shareholding

Sound Energy, the Moroccan focused upstream gas company, announces that it has been notified that Brian Mitchener, the Company's Exploration Director, has today sold 2,050,000 ordinary shares in the Company at a price of 1.5182 pence per ordinary share (the "Disposal").  

Following the Disposal, Mr. Mitchener is now interested in 3,405,555 Ordinary Shares in the Company, representing 0.29 per cent. of the Company's issued ordinary share capital.

As previously announced, Mr. Mitchener will step down from the Board with effect from 31 March 2020 and the Disposal is part of the intended sale of a proportion of Mr. Mitchener's shareholding in the Company to cover tax and national insurance liabilities arising from an issue of new ordinary shares to Mr. Mitchener announced on 27 January 2020.
