Announcement of transaction in ordinary shares by a Director/PDMR

The Company has been informed that on 21 May 2013 Clare Davis, wife of Kirk Davis, Finance Director of JD Wetherspoon plc sold 3,256 of the company's ordinary shares at a price of 662.2p per share.

Following this transaction, the number of shares jointly held by Kirk and Clare Davis is 1,296 ordinary shares in the Company.
