Persimmon plc (the "Company") announces that on 26 April it was informed that on that day, Marion Sears, Non-Executive Director purchased 4,177 ordinary shares in the Company at an average price of 1075p. These shares are held in an ISA and a SIPP.

As a result of this transaction Ms Sears is interested in 10,000 shares, <0.01% of the issued share capital of the Company. 

The issued share capital of the Company on 29 April 2013 was 303,836,208 ordinary shares.
