INFORMATION ABOUT THE APPROVAL OF THE ACCOUNTS FOR 2008

Sonae, SGPS, SA informs that its shareholders have decided, at the Company's Annual General Meeting, held today:

1 - To approve the Company's Annual report, and the Individual and Consolidated Accounts and respective Notes for the Accounts for 2008, as presented by the Board of Directors;

2 - To approve the proposedlication of the Net Profit for 2008, in the amount of 30 472 155,03 euros, as follows:

• a. The application of 1 523 607,75 euros as Legal Reserves;
• b. The application of 28 948 547,28 euros as Dividends;

c. The payment of a gross dividend of 0,03 euros per share, also using Free Reserves, in the amount of 31 051 452,72 euros, to this effect;
