Pennon Group Plc to issue £300m Perpetual Capital Securities

Pennon today successfully launched and priced a £300m unrated perpetual capital security, callable after 5 years, at an initial rate of 6.75%.  The proceeds from the issue will be used for general corporate purposes.

David Dupont, Pennon's Group Director of Finance, said "Today's hybrid issue is a significant piece of funding that diversifies our source of funds and further strengthens our balance sheet affording us greater financial flexibility to support our investment programme".
