SHARE BUYBACK PROGRAMME

As announced earlier today in the Company's Preliminary Results for the year ended 31 December 2012, the Company is today initiating a three-year share repurchase programme of up to £1 billion. Such programme is to be carried out pursuant to and in accordance with the authority conferred by the Company's shareholders at the Annual General Meeting held on 2 May 2012 (and any renewal or replacement thereof at any future  shareholders' general meeting).
