APPOINTMENT OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

ANGLE plc (AIM: AGL), the specialist medtech company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Brian Howlett as a Non-Executive Director of the Company. The appointment is effective immediately.

Brian has more than 20 years' experience of building and managing medical device and diagnostic businesses, and prior to this he worked in the pharmaceutical industry.

Brian was CEO of AIM-quoted Lombard Medical Technologies PLC from 2005 to 2010, during which time he took the company from the development stage to product sales. He also raised a total of £49 million in equity funding in challenging financial markets.  

From 1999 to 2005, Brian was UK Country Leader at Boston Scientific Corporation, where he was responsible for launching a number of new medical devices into the UK market.  From 1987 to 1999 he was Managing Director of Cobe Laboratories Limited where he achieved significant growth in the Renal Care, Cardiovascular and Blood Component Technology (BCT) divisions.  

Since 2010, Brian has been Non-Executive Chairman of two privately held companies, Michelson Diagnostics Limited and Vascular Flow Technologies Limited.  He is also a Non-Executive Director of privately held company Accentus Limited.

ANGLE's Founder and Chief Executive, Andrew Newland, commented:

Brian Howlett, age 68, does not currently hold shares in ANGLE. There are no further disclosures to be made in relation to Mr Howlett under Schedule 2(g) and (i) of the AIM rules.
