Release according to § 26 para 1 sentence 1 WpHG Notification of voting rights pursuant to § 21 para 1 WpHG

On October 24, 2012 we received the following notifications pursuant to § 21 para 1 WpHG:

1. On May 04, 2011 the percentage holding of the voting rights of BR Jersey International Holdings, L.P., St. Helier, Jersey, Channel Islands, in BASF SE exceeded the threshold of 3% and amounts to 3.02% (27.734.595 voting shares) on that day.

All of the voting rights are attributable to BR Jersey International Holdings, L.P. pursuant to § 22 para 1 sentence 1 no 6 in connection with sentence 2 WpHG.

1. On February 01, 2011 the percentage holding of the voting rights of BlackRock Advisors Holdings, Inc., New York, USA, in BASF SE exceeded the threshold of 3% and amounts to 3.07% (28.157.747 voting shares) on that day.

All of the voting rights are attributable to BlackRock Advisors Holdings, Inc. pursuant to § 22 para 1 sentence 1 no 6 in connection with sentence 2 WpHG.

1. On May 04, 2011 the percentage holding of the voting rights of BlackRock International Holdings, Inc., New York, USA, in BASF SE exceeded the threshold of 3% and amounts to 3.02% (27.734.595 voting shares) on that day.

All of the voting rights are attributable to BlackRock International Holdings, Inc. pursuant to § 22 para 1 sentence 1 no 6 in connection with sentence 2 WpHG.

1. On July 17, 2011 the percentage holding of the voting rights of BlackRock Group Limited, London, U.K., in BASF SE exceeded the threshold of 3% and amounts to 3.02% (27.771.998 voting shares) on that day.

All of the voting rights are attributable to BlackRock Group Limited pursuant to § 22 para 1 sentence 1 no 6 in connection with sentence 2 WpHG.
