Transparency declarations by Fidelity Management & Research LLC and FIL Ltd (Fidelity International) : Disposal of voting securities

On 30 April, Fidelity Management and Research LLC (FMR), located at 82 Devonshire street, Boston, Massachusetts, 02109, USA has notified the FSMA and Umicore that on 24 April 2012 it has crossed the statutory threshold of 3 %, holding 2.52 % of Umicore's shares and voting rights.

"The holdings attributable to FMR LLC arise from holdings of various undertakings for collective investment that are managed by Fidelity Management & Research Company, Pyramis Global Advisors LLC and Pyramis Global Advisors Trust Company, each of which are entities that are subsidiaries of and controlled by FMR LLC. These undertakings for collective investment have granted FMR LLC discretionary power to vote the securities in accordance with the FMR LLC board proxy voting policy. FMR LLC is not a controlled undertaking."

On the same day, FIL Limited (Fidelity International), located at PO Box HM 670, Hamilton HMCX, Bermuda has notified the FSMA and Umicore that on 25 April 2012 it has crossed the statutory threshold of 5 %, holding 3.94 % of Umicore's shares and voting rights.
