In accordance with article 14, § 1 of the law of 2 May 2007 on disclosure of major holdings Baillie Gifford & Co and Baillie Gifford Overseas Limited have notified Umicore on 7 October 2019 that on 1 October 2019 they have crossed the statutory threshold of 5% upwards for direct voting rights. In total (direct voting rights + equivalent financial instruments) Baillie Gifford & Co and Baillie Gifford Overseas Limited hold 6.46% of Umicore's shares and voting rights.
